How It Works
Enter your annual mileage, your vehicle's fuel efficiency, and the price per litre at two different forecourts. The calculator estimates how many litres you use each year and shows the cost difference between the two stations — broken down by year, month, and per fill-up.

Tips to Maximise Your Savings
- Fill up on your regular route — don't make a special trip unless the saving outweighs the detour cost.
- Use supermarket loyalty points — Tesco Clubcard, Nectar at Sainsbury's, and other schemes can knock a few extra pence off.
- Avoid motorway services — forecourts at motorway services are often 10–20p per litre more expensive.
- Fill up mid-week — prices sometimes dip on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at some forecourts.
